As an Aromatherapist, I push the safety use of essential oils to all my clients. Never ingest essential oils and always dilute them before use with carrier oils such as jojoba, coconut oil, etcetera.

Ginger’s Botanical name is (Zingiber officinale). Ginger is known for many culinary dishes and is easily accessible in grocery stores and markets. It is one I keep on hand, especially during cold seasons. You can ingest the root by using it in a tea, prepared syrup, on dishes, or in a tincture. Ginger has a warm fragrant flavor; most of us know the taste by eating it in pumpkin pie. It blends well with cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, & nutmeg.

In Chinese medicine, ginger is one of the most used herbs because of its warm properties, which help reduce internal dampness of the body. One of the most potent forms of ginger is the essential oil because it contains the highest levels of gingerol, which has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and numerous other benefits. If you want to feel courageousness and self-assurance, ginger is the essential oil for you. If you prefer diffusing ginger essential oil over ingesting the herb, a perfect way is to add drops onto diffusing jewelry or a diffuser. Drops of Joy offers a wide variety of beautiful jewelry.
