Today I’m going to be talking about one of our stainless steel pieces, this is our Silver Branch Diffuser from Drops of Joy Jewelry. This piece is made from stainless steel; it’s surgical grade 316L stainless steel. Both the locket and the chain are stainless steel. The chain is just a rolo link and has a lobster clasp closure on it. The chain comes with different length options, so you can get it in 16”…we also have 18”, 20” and 22” listed on our website. However, we do have different options available, so if you need something longer or just a different length, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we would be happy to work out whatever chain length you need if you aren’t seeing it on the website.
So, what I love about our stainless steel lockets is they work very well with essential oils. They are very resistant to rusting, oxidation, they won’t discolor or tarnish, so that means you don’t have as much upkeep with these lockets as you do with some of the plated jewelry where you have to be more careful with how you store it and clean it after use. So these are great, very durable, and will last a long time. They also feature a magnetic closure; how I open them is holding onto the top and stick my fingernail in there and open it up.
You can see the top has some holes in it, so that’s how you smell your essential oils through the locket, and on the inside is where we have one of our non-toxic leather Diffuser Dots. We punch each of these by hand. We also have felt options if you aren’t into the leather, so please contact us about that. I recommend taking your Diffuser Dot out of the locket, and when you are ready, place 1-2 drops of oil on the leather, then place it back inside the locket and snap it shut and you’re good to go. It’s much easier to take the leather out when applying your oils, and once you have it on the leather, the leather is great at holding the scent, so you will be able to enjoy that oil for a couple of days before you need to reapply, or you can add a new oil, or you can change it out and use a new piece of leather.
